Milk Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
  • 200 g Self raising flour
  • 225 g Caster sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 25 g Cocoa powder (sieved)
  • 100 g Margarine
  • 2 Eggs
  • 5 tbsp Water
  • 3 drop Vanilla essence
  • 5 tbsp Evaporated milk
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 180C/Gas mark 4. Grease 2x 20CM tins
  2. Add flour,salt,sugar and cocoa to a bowl and mix
  3. Rub in margarine to mix
  4. Beat eggs with evaporated milk then add water and vanilla essence
  5. Add egg mix to flour mix and beat well
  6. Add mix to tins and bake for 30-35 minutes
  7. Remove from tins and when cool sandwich and top with chocolate icing as required
Recipe Notes

Make sure baking tins have a fixed bottom to prevent the mix from running out the bottom of the tins.
